Technical Benefits of Pro-Bounce System
  
With the unveiling of our Pro-Bounce System, we wanted to help you in
understanding this patented system's benefits. Herein, we define and inform 
you on the outstanding benefits it brings to tennis and sport court surfaces.

Point-Elastic Surface: This type floor is typically constructed as a resilient, soft, 
bending floor. Upon a point-shaped load, it has the characteristic of creating a
small surface tread depression, which appropriates the dread dimension of the object.

Area-Elastic Surface: This type floor is typically a rigid, non-bending floor. 
When under load, the floor deflects in area considerably beyond the immediate loaded surface. Most gymnasium floors, and some running tracks and artificial 
turf surfaces demonstrate area-elastic properties.

Pro-Bounce is this type surface.
   For a point-elastic surface, the area of deformation exceeds the load area only
minimally whereas for an area-elastic surface, the area of deformation is larger
than the loaded area. In the area-elastic: Deformation occurs and this may
enhance performance and reduce loading. Loading on the human body is
defined as the production of forces acting on the human muscular-skeletal
system
. When such loading is to large, it may be expected that the internal
structures (of the body) will be damaged. 

   With this in mind, it has been our purpose to produce a surface that would
solve the problems that tennis court and sport court owners experience with
cracks and other faults in the hard court (asphalt/concrete) area. Correcting in a
meaningful way in producing a long-term solution, and also to bring to the court
owner and player a resilient surface that would reduce the loading on the 
human muscular -skeletal system.
   

Where can it be installed . . .
  
In addition to a asphalt or concrete base, it may be installed over a crushed stone, clay or har-tru base that is compacted and prepared. It can reduce the base cost of a new court, enabling the court owner to enjoy its additional benefits.
   We are experienced in area-elastic with our cushioned synthetic grass court surfaces. Tennis players around the world are seeking safer and better performing surfaces that will enable them to enjoy the sport more and longer, without the treat of injury.
  
Pro-Bounce has been assessed on the basis of the ability of subjects [players] to perform well on the surface and on the ability of the surface to reduce the loading of the human body. One of the first Pro-Bounce installations, it was said:

   "Pro-Bounce rescued us from a dangerous cracked condition and
    gave us a great cushioned surface. The ladies in our group fight 
    to play on these courts because they are easier on the knees than 
    our other courts."


  
As an area-elastic surface, it stores energy in the form of strain energy when it deforms, it is possible that this energy is given back to the player during a foot movement in acceleration. It also absorbs the energy in the stopping motion. The combination of these attributes translates into a physical feeling of cushion.
